Quedaron determinados los cruces por medallas en los Juegos Panamericanos de Toronto (CAN) 2015. Además, Argentina se quedó con el pasaje a los Juegos Olímpicos de Río de Janeiro (BRA) 2016.
La primera semifinal quedó en manos de Brasil por 34:24 frente a Chile. Goleo repartido de los brasileños: 5 tantos de Oswaldo Guimaraes y 4 para Thiagus, Chuiffa y Vinicius. Esteban Salinas anotó 10 para los chilenos.
El otro finalista salió del cruce entre Uruguay y Argentina, así como el clasificado a Río 2016. Uruguay comenzó sorprendiendo a todos y hasta estuvo dos en ventaja en el inicio del complemento. Finalmente fue triunfo argentino por 20:12 gracias a las 21 atajadas de Matías Schulz y los 10 goles de Sebastián Simonet. Manuel Adler fue clave en los uruguayos, con 14 paradas.
Puerto Rico y Cuba jugarán el partido por el quinto lugar y Canadá y República Dominicana lo harán por la séptima colocación.
Los cruces por medalla serán el sábado y tendrán a Argentina y Brasil jugando por la medalla dorada, mientras que Chile y Uruguay irán por el bronce.

The other finalist came out from the matchup between Uruguay and Argentina, as long as the qualified team for Rio 2016. Uruguay started surprising everyone and even got to be two goals ahead at the begining of the second half. Bottomline, Argentina won 20:12 thanks to the 21 saves by Matias Schulz and the 10 goals of Sebastian Simonet. Manuel Adler was the key for the Uruguayans with 14 saves.
Puerto Rico and Cuba will play for the fifth place and Canada and Dominican Republic will do the same for the seventh spot.
Medal matches will be played on saturday and will have Argentina and Brazil playing for gold and Chile and Uruguay playing for bronze.
